Meet Our Pastors
|
Pastor Dave was born in Truro, Nova Scotia, Canada and grew up in the village of Bible Hill. In 1981 he went to Bethany Bible College searching for the Lord. In September of 1981, Dave asked Christ into his heart and in 1982 felt a call to go into full-time ministry. In 1985 Dave graduated from college with a B. A. in Religion and took a position as assistant pastor at Hillside Wesleyan Church in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. His wife Dawn, whom he met at college, graduated in 1986 with a B. S. in Christian Education. They were married that same year. She joined him in Dartmouth and in 1987 they then moved to Manchester, New Hampshire where they helped to pioneer a church in that city. In 1990 they moved to Havelock, Nova Scotia where he pastored a church for 6 years. They then moved to Perth-Andover, New Brunswick where he was Senior Pastor for five years. In 2001 they felt the Lord leading them to leave Perth-Andover and later accepted a call to Christ Wesleyan in Milton, PA. Pastor Dave started as Senior Pastor on August 24, 2008 here at Yarmouth Wesleyan Church. His wife Dawn is our Children's Pastor. Pastor Dave and Dawn have 3 children, Josiah (1988), Andrew (1990) and Rebecca (1992). |

Pastor Mark was born and raised in Belleville, Ontario. He spent many summers at his district camp, Silver Lake. It was there that he surrendered his life to Jesus. In his mid-teens, Mark felt the call to full time ministry. He graduated high school in 1986 and headed to Bethany Bible College that fall. He had the opportunity to travel with a worship team while at Bethany. Mark has always had a love for music and is never far from a guitar - or two. He enjoys using this talent to worship his King. He graduated in the spring of 1990 with a Bachelor of Arts in Religion. Mark met his wife Karen in 1988 at a youth rally. She was born and raised in New Brunswick. They were married in the summer of 1990. Mark began his ministry on staff as youth pastor at Olivet Wesleyan Church in Fredericton, New Brunswick. In 1991 they followed God's call to Hope Wesleyan Church in Shelburne, Nova Scotia. Then in 1993 they followed God's leading to Millville, New Brunswick - the "Village in the Valley". Mark served as pastor of Millville Wesleyan Church for 18 years. He and his family had many opportunities there to be deeply involved within the comunity. Their passion is people who need the Lord. In the summer of 2011, Mark excitedly accepted the call here to Yarmouth Wesleyan Church as minister of worship and discipleship. Mark and Karen have three children: Amanda (1991), Rachael (1994), and Seth (1996). |

Hello Everyone. I grew up in Wyoming my whole life. In High School God started working on my heart and planting thoughts about going into full time ministry. I went to college at Oklahoma Wesleyan University and graduated in 2008 with a Bachelors of Science in Pastoral/Youth Ministry. Yarmouth Wesleyan Church is the first Youth Group Megan and I have had the opportunity to lead. I am excited to see what God will do in these students lives and how that will impact His kingdom in years to come. Megan and I are so excited to be a part of this revolution and adventure that God calls us to and are anticipating hearing his voice and seeing his face in new (and often times hilarious) ways. We feel so privileged to be able to be a part of such an important and heart, mind and world changing calling in our lives.

When Rev. Ron Morehouse prays, he has a way of opening the doors of heaven and has ushered Yarmouth Wesleyan to the throne of grace many times as he speaks to the Father on their behalf. With a love of outdoors, canoeing, fishing, motorcycling, he has a great appreciation for God's creation and holiness. Pastor Ron is loved and respected by all and looked to as a man with much wisdom and experience in serving the Lord with dedication. Born in Fredericton, NB in 1925, Pastor Ron lived the first 17 years of his life in Doaktown, NB on the Miramichi River. He served with the RCAF during World War II, returning in 1946 to work as an auto mechanic. In 1949 he began to attend BBC which was located in Yarmouth at the time. He married Kay Lutes in 1951, also a Bethany student. They have two daughters, Ruth and Angela. He graduated in 1952 and was ordained as an Elder of the church in 1953. He and his wife served in pastorates in Havelock, NB, Millville, NB, Sandford, NS, and North Head Grand Manan, NB. Pastor Ron joined the staff at Yarmouth Wesleyan in 1984 as Pastor of Counseling and Visitation. Now he is fully retired and holds the title of Pastor Emeritus. He and Kay are thankful to God for all of His leading down through the past 50 years of service, and they continue to serve God. As one of the senior Pastors on the Atlantic District of The Wesleyan Church, it is an honor to have such a wonderful godly resource in our midst. |
